Duration of Course: 2 days

Meet SAFE Act Mortgage Loan Originator Licensing Requirements

12 Hour SAFE Core: Assessing Risk in Loan Production(Course ID: 1468) is approved by the NMLS to meet the pre-licensing CORE requirements.

About This Course

12 Hour SAFE Core: Assessing Risk in Loan Production examines the essential laws and regulatory guidelines that impact mortgage banking as well as the role professional ethics play in the successful implementation of these legal directives. Sessions on fraud, quality assurance and nontraditional mortgages further illuminate the need for strict adherence to laws and industry guidelines to avoid costly consequences that have put many industry players out of business.

During the course, students interact with industry experts who enhance the instruction with real-life industry anecdotes. Participants engage in practice exercises and activities surrounding the proper implementation of several federal mortgage laws and guidelines. The course culminates with an in-depth case study; and attendees leave with a solid understanding of the role that compliance, ethical behavior and overall professional vigilance all play in the success of the mortgage banking industry.
